Anche quest'anno, come tutti gli anni, la rivista americana Time ha pubblicato l'ambita lista delle persone più influenti nel mondo. Nonostante sia aperta a tutti i campi (scienza, giornalismo, arti...ecc), anche il mondo della moda è riuscito nella difficilissima impresa di veder emergere un suo rappresentante!! Sapete chi?? Il grande Tom Ford!!
Lui che, secondo me, non è semplicemente un eccellente designer, ma anche un rispettabile regista emergente. Negli ultimi anni infatti, dopo aver abbandonato nel 2004 la direzione artistica di Gucci, si è dedicato al marchio che porta il suo nome. Non solo nel pret-a-porter femminile, che oggi è considerato uno tra i più esclusivi (le ultime due sfilate Tom Ford si sono svolte per solo alcuni prestigiosi invitati, senza l'ingresso della stampa!!), ma questo genio della moda ha dato vita anche ad una linea menswear e una beauty per la cosmesi, che stanno riscuitendo un grandissimo successo.
Vogliamo infine parlare di "A Single Man"? Uno dei film più belli che ho visto negli ultimi anni, osannato dalla critica e che ha portato addirittura alla candidatura all'oscar del suo protagonista, Colin Firth.
Bravo Tom, continua così a tenere alto il valore del mondo della Moda!! L.

The one that, according to me, is not only an excellent designer, but also a respectable emerging film director. In the last few years, after he quit from Gucci in 2004, he started his own brand called "Tom Ford". He not only designed the pret-a-porter womenswear, that today is regarded as one of the most exclusive (just fugure that the last runways were held only for some guest, even the press was banned!!), but he gave birth to the menswear and the beauty lines.
Finally, do we want to talk about "A Single Man"? To me, it's one of the most beautiful movie in the last years, acclaimed from the critics and from the Academy Awards too: Colin Firth was nominated at the 2010 Oscar for his main role in the movie.
